Personal care items
We are in the age of all things self-care with personal care items. So you might be asking yourself what are personal care items? Well, it is wide-ranging and includes soaps, lotions, balms, makeup, shampoos, and more. Pretty much anything you can find in a bathroom can classify as a personal care item!
I wanted to share with you today my top 5 Eco-Friendly Personal Care Brands that serve your skin and hair in the most nourishing way possible without harming people, animals, or the planet – so you feel good about it from hitting “add to cart” to disposing of the empty container.
From my home to yours, each brand listed here is a brand I use and love and would be proud for you to support.
Meow Meow Tweet
I’d be willing to bet that we could all use a little spirit, and Meow Meow Tweet has a lot of it! They are a vegan personal care company made for every body. From the top of your head to the tips of your toes – Co-Founders Tara Pelletier and Jeff Kurosaki have created a beautifully crafted apothecary of handmade items to soothe and nourish your body, all while sticking to their values of remaining vegan, ethical, low-waste, & cruelty-free at every step of the way.
They care for people too, paying careful attention to their suppliers, employees, and making sure to give back to organizations dear to their heart monthly.
As you can tell by the almost empty bottle, my favorite Meow Meow Tweet product is their Juniper Carrot Seed Face Oil!
Fat and the moon
If you’re in the need of a little witchy healing potion – this is your brand! Fat and the Moon is a brand centered around healing your body through fatty oils and energy.
They are radically non-toxic, plant-based, ethically harvested, organically cultivated, and use reusable/recyclable containers. Plus each order is handmade. Their shop includes makeup, moisturizers, toiletries, hair care items, and among more magical items!
My favorite product is Fat and the Moon Lip Salve which I keep in my bag at all times!
This New Zealand-based company is a force for good. They are Climate Positive (meaning they offset 120% of their carbon emissions!) They are also Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Plastic, and Palm Oil Free, and provide living wages – because we all know that supporting people is at the heart of sustainability.
All of their personal care items are concentrated to pack an eco-friendly punch!
My favorite Ethique Product is their Tone It Down Purple Shampoo Bar which keeps my brassy hair at bay!
Truly says that they are changing the way you shop beauty by providing a combination of natural, vegan ingredients with high-end, clean non-organics.
You shop by your beauty routine, body part, or the skincare you’d like to show a little love to.
While having a higher price point than the others on the list, these products definitely are worth the investment. My favorite product by Truly Beauty is their Blueberry Kush CBD Body Oil.
Handmade by a small family couple – Lovett Sundries produces handcrafted soaps, grooming, and cleaning products in recyclable packaging. Their familiar ingredient lists are easy to ready so you know what you’re putting on your skin will make you feel good.
My favorite Lovett Sundries product is their Peppermint Hand & Body Cream – seriously I’ve never felt a lotion so fluffy, silky, and nourishing!
